The Most EVIL Character in Soulsborne ELDEN RING

L-U-6-T-Y: Sony for withholding Bloodborne

Mario-SunshineGalaxy64: The most evil character in Elden Ring is whoever put that blasted teleporting chest in the Dragon-Burnt Ruins that lead straight to Selia Crystal Tunnel. Pure unadulterated frustration.

thesaltysandvich9257: Pontiff Sulyvahn to me feels like the Sauron of the Dark Souls series. He uses Rings to turn man into beasts.

horizonbumpy2828: Any dog enemy in any of the souls games

ToySouljah.: The answer is Griffith, it’s always Griffith.

elcononamethon2157: I'd definitely put Shabriri up there, right under Dungeater.

Love this style of video, would love a lore breakdown on each games' signature armor or the links between DS1 and DS3

balaam_7087: Easy. The great bow knight on the way up the rampart in DS1

goroakechi6126: I can’t give the title to anyone but Gwyn, the Lord of Sunlight and Cinder. Hundreds of thousands of years of pain, and suffering and despair, all because one man could not fathom that all things must end, one way or another.

Marika set out to never have to suffer the jars again after her people were massacred down to the man. Genichiro bled for his nation to persevere. Both fought for something beyond themselves, but Gwyn? He did not love. His treatment of Gwyndolin shows that well enough.

An old, pathetic man, afraid of the dark.

rafenelson7230: The most evil character in the souls series is that damn naked katana guy in firelink in ds3.

That guy kicked my ass so much I won't ever let it go.

adamuffoletto7869: Legitimately shocked that Smough himself didn't get an honorable mention for DS1. An unrepentant, cannibalistic executioner who revels in his position so much that others (rightly) fear and shun him. The way he laughs and smashes Ornstein with his hammer if you defeat the Dragon Slayer first is fuckin nightmare-inducing. Not to mention that the Chosen Undead doesn't even kill Ornstein; his hand moves before Smough's hammer falls

robdotgif: Whatever malicious spirit keeps whispering into Miyazaki's ear to make more poison swamps.

Vallarfax288: i want to mention Maldron the assassin, from the DS2 DLCs, invading you in the precarious curse tower of the iron keep, to having the single most devious invasion in Eleum Loyce, breaking established game mechanics and even acting like a friendly NPC...such a bastard...i love him

potatopoker2141: fine, ill play ds2 again

CadavresSansNom: Aldrich is wayyyyy up there. Cannibalism on it's own is questionable enough..but to eat the gods is another level..and to revel in seeing that last light in your victims' eyes go out is another...and to want to share that "joy" with others is another. Several levels of twisted deeper than most soulsborne souls, I would think.

sheoofisles1573: It's Miyazaki every time

georgehouliaras7239: No, there is another. The most diabolical villain in all of video game history: The Mist Noble.

FishBoneD14: I've never believed that bolataria was a good place to live. I think a prince just has a skewed view of the society but the people at the bottom were always suffering.

TheAuspiciousGoldmask: Killing for the taste of it already makes the Dung Eater a good contender, but when you consider what he do in his ending, he is almost the incarnation of the perversity and evil he brews, he might think he is doing something better than the golden order, but he is being more vile than Order ever was.

Thanks for the video Smough!!! This kind of content is as good as the “trough and trough” lore videos like you usually make. Have a great rest of weekend my friend and don’t you dare go hollow!

GTrain2019: DS2 story and lore severely underrated. I love that they went something different yet it still ties in with the previous universe.

Henzukaya: Kinda surprised Laurence himself isn't a contender for top evil beings of Bloodborne. Took part in the slaughter and torture of the Fishing Hamlet, spearheaded the Byrgenwerth defection, flipped off Willem, founded the cult of the Healing Church, nominated himself blood pope, and presumably lived out the rest of his days coked out of his mind on Eldritch blood.

Joking aside, Laurence strikes me as possibly the most evil entity of Yharnam, as possibly the most important and influential figure that was the root cause of-

Laurence is the Ronald Reagan of Yharnam

joet7458: dung eater: “nooooo i’m consuming their souls and cursing them!!! don’t call me that!!!”

other tarnished: “haha you eat poo”

KyleReed-fg4iy: Im gonna guess Sulyvahn. One would argue guys like Mohg or Nashandra, but at least they have a background where their actions make sense. Sulyvahn is like Big Jack Horner except hes the one before Horner.

Finished the video. Overall solid picks and reasonings. I would still say Sulyvahn is a bit more evil than Dung Eater. Dung Eater at the bare minimum is fighting against a corrupt order thay treats the omen like garbage. In his own demented mind he can make the claim he is fighting for something wheras Sulyvahn fights for nothing.

Also note for Seath, i feel like Tark in ds2 gives us a lot of insight into his character describing him as "a tragically lonely soul", and "Not understanding what is was he truly lacked."

imfamouswarrior2976: While everyone was spamming the Mimic Tear when Elden Ring dropped, I managed to figure out the often missed Puppet Quest via Rani’s male sorcerer companion. I realized I could get Dung Eater as a Puppet Summon. While I didn’t know much about him, I could tell he was a vile deranged beast of a man.

And man as a Summon, he’s no different. Absolute tank, power house, ranged damage, and has an AOE attack that weakens targets. His horrific nature is clearly shown in both his lore and strength as a summon. Good to see respect being put on the vile goats name. Couldn’t imagine the fear he struck into his victims souls as they were violently slaughtered and defiled.

NovelVirtue: Patches.

Patches is the omnipresent archetype of impotence, cowardice, and betrayal. He doesn't have to befriend you before he gets you, he just wants to (to paraphrase Accain).

educatedlaziness3268: One more thing about Sulyvahn's sins is that he isnt just capitolizing on the state of the world, hes directly responsible for it. Its implied that it was his influence and tutelage that disillusioned Prince Lothric to rekindling the first flame, leading to his refusal and the beginning of the crisis that sees the Unkindled being summoned
