But as much as I like Nightreign, it has unfortunately shown that there’s live-service potential lurking in FS’s games. Despite months without updates, it still hit a 24-hour peak of 38k on Steam. Imagine that with a quarterly season featuring a new map. Add to that a new weapon pool, maybe 1-2 Night Lords, and more bosses from Elden Ring and the Dark Souls games.

Of course, the skins and relics—or rather, the storage space for the relics—could be sold for real money via an in-game shop...
