Jaredith: haven’t gotten this item yet myself … but the secret door which hides a bound dead maiden along with the 3 sacrificial branches. Are there for a reason and , it’s for lore wise. The Erdtree which we see a ghostly golden erdtree when we make our way to day 3. The Executor says that there was once a legend of the erdtree existing In the lands between , and it don’t exist anymore , cause of your Cardinal sin of razzing it. Female maidens who tended the erdtree were sacrificed , since it says it will take many sacrifices before the cardinal sin of razzing the erdtree is forgiven. The dead maiden in secret room is believed to be one of those secret erdtree maidens whom were sacrificed .A secret meant to never be seen. And the Sacrificial branches are the very few remaining remnants of the Erdtree. Making them very valuable lore wise.

I’ve been spoiled by the deep lore , symbolisms , myths etc of the Elden Ring, Darksouls , and Bloodborne universe.
