samuel.jpg.1080p: this just shows that the arena is very important to the atmosphere of the boss fight. Nameless King in DS3 looks absolutely epic, partly due to the arena looks. You're fighting on top of clouds with dragon statues in left and right sides, The Nightreign version's arena is just.. basic grass. It adds nothing to the atmosphere. Plus the lighning effect looks a lot better and sound better in DS3
burntivoryking: Definitely less intimidating in nightreign. But that’s probably because there is no arena and he has become slow for nightreign standards. Still very cool seeing him again
LecroixMystique00: The mechanics in ER NR makes him a lot easier ...mostly with the super sprint and the characters abilities ...besides your character is much slower in Ds3 even when you're light weight ...it's like comparing Ds1 to Ds3
cristiancarrasco7654: I really like the Nameless King's lightning in DS3, in Nightreign the effect feels a bit...weak?
elitewhiteboy6982: I really hope the devs add more attacks to him cause he’s easy in ER since we have better movement
zorro8027: In dark souls 3 nameless King used Sunlight lightning. In Nightrein it looks as thought they got lazy and just used the basic lightning effects of ER. No weight or impact to the bolts. No tinge of orange/red.
lord_nem3sis: Is it just me or is the dragon looking WAAAYS bigger in Elden Ring
KhoiNguyen-zz2jx: The reasons why NK is not as great in ERN are 1. Dude did not absorb the dragon 2. ERN playable characters are just leagues above the souls game, it's like putting Sekiro tier control against Dark Souls boss and ask why they look shit.
gauthierdevos4453: Crazy to think a basic lion hornsent would be harder
natetrain32: The effects in ER look great, the arena is the biggest factor that makes the fight less epic, also the wind and lightning that you see around him in DS3 compared to ER where you almost see nothing around him make him look less powerful in a way. I think adding something like more wind/fog around the area would make the fight way more intense, kinda like what we say in the trailer where we say him in ER for the first time.
kebabruh: He's an easy boss for ER standard, especially for Nightreign, far easier than base Morgott. They didn't even make special lightnings for him, just stock ER effects, or add new moveset (that goes for other 5 DS bosses too).
morepower6800: To everyone crying and complaining about him just stop he is still amazing so enough with the obnoxious behaviour
ashen-one--x: i keep getting surprised by bosses that i had no idea were being included in this game! today i got Dancer of the Boreal Valley for the first time, and i was so freakin happy lol
juanrodriguez26: They ruinned another great boss. Worst part is that people will still justify Fromsoft.
This game is a nostalgia cashgrab scam lol
worldmimm: In elden Ring easy dark souls perfect
bigsmall2842: People acting like the boss is different instead of coming to the conclusion that nameless king has commander Niall level mechanics.
lord_nem3sis: The comparison is like that one Megamind quote.
The presentation of some bosses is kind of underwhelming
nots2574: Look how they massacred my boy...
bend.7590: We got Nameless King remastered before GTA VI
Teeheehee093: I noticed things in Elden Ring look a lot more... dry or something? Dark Souls 1, 3 and Bloodborne has this kind of shiny look to a lot of the enemies and bosses that makes them look wet? Am I imagining things
broth33: seeing the dragonslayer greataxe felt so good, now im gonna go download ds3 again just to experience my godly hits
nieryorha8095: DS3 is much better simply because the DS3 version is faster, tankyer and very tricky.... and let us don't forget the cutscen and the arena and it is a fair fight without any kind of summons
Lastly you can see that the rooms in DS3 are tiny which means no place to make a mistake
Demomanflower: They gave him the same fit but more shiny and put hes arena away
Downright criminal
mape5321: is it me or he is less aggressive in nightreign? i feel like his combos have 1 or 2 moves less and the down time between each combo is longer in nightreign
crumblyguy1834: Ever since Consort Radahn (and soloing night lords) returning to the souls bosses had been a weird experience. It’s like fighting a common boss in Elden Ring. No hate, the old bosses are still cool, just my perception of difficulty is messed up. I say this as a not very good souls player
