Shopping Carttoddsilverwolfe: Oh man, you know Chase was suffering when he made the difficult choice to pair those pants with that armor set. One of the rare times Chase sacrificed fashion for function.
Th3Messenger99: 17:15 (in Mermaid Man's voice) EEEEEEVVIIIIILLLLL Evil evil evil
lordchunderbussiii: 15:44 And in comes the Black Phantom with the steel chair!
pa5530: Dude the triple no scope rock pot was so satisfying
1Xaria: Hey Chase, I want to make a build suggestion. Please take the time to read it! Partially cause it's cool, but mostly because it's so weird. The way this attack is coded is so weird and I have just spent so much time testing and figuring it out and I want more people to know what I found and for it to be used by more than just me. I don't remember ever hearing how this attack actually scales and even the Wiki is wrong.
So the idea is to optimize Inescapable Frenzy. The mad grabby attack. So you might think this would be a faith build, but your wrong.
Here's the really weird thing, Inescapable Frenzy doesn't scale at all from Faith. You only need 21 faith to qualify to use the spell, but any further faith investment will not buff the damage. "Incant scaling" on the seal does not effect whether increasing faith buffs the damage.
But at least with the Frenzy seal, you can scale the damage by leveling Str, Dex, and Int. That's right, it scales off these other 3 damage stats, but not faith.
If you think that's the weird part, you're still wrong. The REALLY weird part, is that the damage only scales off the lowest of those 3 stats. So if you have 20 Str, 20 Dex, but 15 Int, it scales off the 15 Int. But if you have 15 Str, 20 Dex, and 20 Int, it scales off the Str. SUPER WEIRD!
So to actually optimize Inescapable Frenzy damage, you have to get 21 faith to cast it, then equally level Str, Dex, and Int, as high as you can.
So that's the build suggestion. I want to see what kind of build you make out of that. The following are other things I tested that do and don't effect the damage. Some are weird.
Here are things that buff the damage. This isn't an exhaustive list, as I already spent so much time with the testing so far.
Rakshasa armor
Canvas Talismans
Fire scorpion and fire buff tear
Sword talisman and Blue Dancer talisman
I believe buffs from the Madding Hand and Old Ones Exultation do increase damage, however, Inescapable frenzy will not proc those buffs from itself, even if madness does proc. So you would need to proc Madness outside of the grab for it to buff the grab, weird.
Things that don't buff it:
Dagger talisman, which I thought did, but maybe I am thinking about Life Steal Fist or something.
A second Frenzy seal. Doesn't buff damage and as far as I can tell, does not increase madness build up. So feel free to keep your Endure stick on your main hand without switching.
That's it for now. I may come back and edit this comment as I remember other things I tested or as I test other things and try it out myself. Thanks for reading and I hope you find it as enticing as I do!
lordchunderbussiii: 11:31 I think sometimes people fail to appreciate how on point Chase is with throwing stuff. I have like 4000 hours in soulsborne games and I still can't throw bombs that well. lol
PimpChimp07: Chase you give me hope real true pure games still exist
thank you for always being our bro
Lesion411: So can the combination blows upon a madding revelation bestowed from Nanaya’s Torch. So powerful even what remains of your fellows in frenzy still grants you their strength to show them the light.
Cristian_383: The greatest heal punish
lordchunderbussiii: 16:30 Anyone else's butt cheeks clenched up when he made the jump backwards off the buttress? I feel like that's a tight jump that has killed many a lesser man. lol
Efwerd: “How do we get a lot of damage?”
“Drill baby. Drill!”
SpikeTortoise: @12:20 All time best boulder throw!
AnsbachthePureblood: Elden Ring: Sister Friede has invaded your world
EddieQuest: THE CHONKY legs on the armor set made laugh as soon as the video started. best part of the build
zerodusk0: Chase! We need a jumpscare compilation
nahrikkon: surely soon you’ll do a perfume build
jostream2935: Hi Chase, I've been watching your videos for like 6 months now every morning on the bus on my way to work. Thank you for always making my day better!
genodedemon5109: You should make a build where you use the worst gear you can find. That would make it so people actually have a chance to fight you.
Matt_Zoran: I would love to see a video, where you try out the great runes. Just taunter tongue somewhere and battle a couple of invaders after each other :D
OmneAurumNon: 1:37 I'm amazed that the host calmly stayed to flight after see that happen to his friends. I would have been running for my life in a blind panic
ratfarmerr: The pants of Solitude actually look fine with that armor while you're invading, the invader red makes it hard to notice
ZeruelGaming: 3:28 Chase was bamboozled
spiraljumper74: I’m so Nightreign brained that I start marking out whenever I see Marais.
Also yeah, 14:31 uncharged lightning spears on a dedicated Dragon Cult build are incredibly oppressive. Fast enough to easily punish an estus or whiff at max cast speed. You know it’s been awhile since you’ve done a pure incantation build. You know you love those lightning incants bro!
adilazimdegilx: 5:57 coop guy died after the host was max level. Dropped over 350k runes.
gravint3294: You should also use the Frozen Needle it has such a cool unique ranged R2 that doesn't cost any FP. You made a video on it like 3 years ago I think and I haven't seen you touch it since then
CrescentMoonboi: Why are we slandering the Grieves of Solitude the whole set is peak
Aletaris: Malenia, Blade of Miquella has invaded your world.
