cindersfade5458: The game is perfectly playable solo and in solo queue. In fact most of the people i get teamed up with are pretty decent with the occasional person who seems like theyve never played a souls game in their life.

maruchan458: You can do duos but not with the duos format(you get a random). Solo is kinda true, it’s hard and it’s really only for veteran players, they’re making it easier to level during runs in the next patch, as for the whole multiplayer business, Japan is set back and arguably has the worst multiplayer experience besides maybe smash. It’s very cave men like match making and it’s very fromsofty. Japan really needs to improve their matchmaking and multiplayer management because it isn’t up to date

chrishess6394: Im running solo and I heavily disagree I have been playing souls games since day one tho so take that as you may im 5 night lords in on solo with 18 hours total play time it's like all souls games but you need to be efficient and learn to think about pathing and what you can and cant Handel as a player 40 dollars is a nice tag on a game this good and it just came out so things will be adjusted with all the new people coming to the series with elden ring there is a lot more complaints then there used to be

diamondgamer5512: Tbh although haven’t been able to play all that much, even with randoms I have had a lot of fun. My advice is with randoms just have fun win/lose who cares as long as you enjoyed the time playing it.

2dr1e: I agree some randoms are good and some are bad. There's been a few games that I've had pretty good randoms and we just couldn't make it at the end. But then there's other games where the randoms want to do their own thing and then they get mad when it doesn't go their way and the rage quit or they get hung up on a single boss when we've already lost like levels. And it's too tough to fight and we can't be there all day to fight it.

I will play this game completely solo. I dont have time to play often due to work, but i got to the second phase on first-time gladius with none of the "scene" item buffs yet. Of course morgott stomped me in the tutorial though, dude is a beast lmfao

The passive was bad, and I couldn't use the other 2 weapons, but there was a legendary staff, and I think I can give that to the mage. KekoaRecruit: Honestly, im having a blast with randoms. Ive played multiplayer games for years with people that dont have a mic, so the lack of communication and how you adapt to a cooperative game without communication brings another layer to the game that is familiar, and one that i personally enjoy. Its definitely not for everyone and i can see all those points being negative, but i cant be the only one having fun despite it all.

Id just say dont tell people the game isnt fun and dont get it just because youre not having fun.

Bottlecapy: I would assume there’s more souls players on the PlayStation platform. The randoms I had on my team so far seem to know what they were doing to some degree.

chasebeleren: Honestly, I disagree. With running solo expeditions you feels more powerful than in the multiplayer runs by quite a lot, so it's perfectly fine to play alone and there's no lag. If you like souls games and rogue likes/battle royale style looting mechanics, absolutely get the game even if you don't have people to play with.

On the note of the voice chat, the pinging does fine for communicating where to go and the souls games have never had voice chat. There should have been no expectation to have it in the first place

ZKSTLKDESU: They are supposedly updating the difficulty as well as adding a duo que. it is possible to do a solo run but always feels like the game sped up since it takes a while just to clear a small camp solo.

kevincrawford9119: I think it’s fine without voice chat. I’ve beaten all the Nightlords except for Libra queuing with randoms. It’s funny because I also play Marvel Rivals another multiplayer game that requires teamwork and communication that has voice chat, and literally no one uses voice chat in Rivals.

Koovid: if you play solo and never play dark souls or elden ring before don't get it yet until you experience those game. but if you are a soul game veteran get elden ring nightreign it's fun all random players i match with are actually great.
