It Cant be This BAD... eldenringeldenringnightreign gaming

Numeronius: "What kind of relic are we gonna give libra? He is the strongest boss after all."

"Just slap some gimmicky shit in there that fits his vibes. It doesn’t really matter, only a madman would bother beating the everdark libra."

ZennyArts: those relics kinda fel like they are intended for a challenge run, if they weren't made literally to mess with you

zRedmaster: Shitty relics for the best boss, you can say that is equilibrious

Epsonea_482: I've seen enough, time to donate you 20 euros when you're about to beat Everdark Libra

Chilldiver444: I've had these exact thoughts before so I decided to build around it. This is the build I've found works best with my current available relics:

Character:Executor

Relics:

Everdark Libra

Sentient Pest

Caligo

DoN Relics:

Atk ↑ 1 when facing poisoned

*INT/DEX ↓

Phys Dmg Neg 1

*HP flask restore ↓

Atk↑2 when facing frostbite

*FTH/STR ↓

Crit=stam recovery ↑

Rune acquisition for party ↑

Atk↑2 when facing poisoned

*Dmg taken builds madness

Atk↑1 when Madness

*FTH/STR ↓

Holy-Shrouding Cracked Tear in possession at start of expedition :D

Explanation:

I've tried it with revenant and I think it sucks because it's almost only worth it when you use both to double the fp recovery. I think this relic is actually meant for executor given his tenacity passive. Everyone knows the seppuku trigger and you can definitely substitute some things out for that in a build like this (which I've tried), but frankly you're going to be spending enough time emoting already that you don't really want to also add the seppuku animation only to them go down and lose all your buffs by the time you're back up.

That said, this works as a poison frost primary katana build which everyone knows works and just adds the reliable method of activating tenacity for the 20% attack boost and the 20% boost from the Atk ↑ 1 madness effect. Giving you a base 40% to all damage for twenty seconds. And if you get hit, you get the 15% boost from the everdark version on top of that for a total of 55%. Using this setup will result in a peak damage output that you can control at 385%. This is verifiable with Level 10 Executor with gray Executor's Blade. The cycle on the training dummy is start with the madness, get hit, chilling mist, hit until poisoned/frost, deal as much damage as possible.

Using a standing two handed light attack while none of the buffs are active will deal 66 damage to the training dummy. Doing the same with everything active gives you 320 damage. A boost of 385%

The good thing here is most of your damage increase comes from the poison / frost boosts from the DoN Relics. Meaning that the madness is just an additional 40% to an already solid damage amount. And if you get RoB or some other skill you'd like to spam, you have a reliable way to keep your FP pool up in a pinch. All that to say, it's still not the best relic and the build works mostly because it plays to executor's strengths. But it's still really fun to play with. I use it reliably at DoN 3. I have a few variations of it and I think if I could get a god roll or two I can make some adjustments..but it works, looks sick, and it's super fun. So I'll just keep using it until I can make it even better lol.

technobuster0: I fully expected either starting wepond inflicts madness or increase power when madness in vicinity

cheetle896: That was not just a god damn it at the end

morwen12o: The everdark one should do this.. increase frenzy damage 2... increase chance of finding frenzy items.... fp costs of frenzy spells and skill reduced.

LogicalStaw: I'll admit, I used that a couple times. It not only damage's you, but it also consumes FP to use. It doesn't consume any if your empty but if you have FP, it will delete some and Regen a couple good ticks past where it was. You can't do I twice in a row either, you need to wait until it's fully done recharging your FP, slowly, and then you can use it again. Otherwise it will override the first one, delete FP and give you less overall back I'm pretty sure.

fxlja: It has a clear niche but the way they went about it is just insanely dumb. Why not just make it an FP per kill effect? Instead you get to cosplay Naruto meditating to collect Limveld's senjutsu chakra or some shit.

brubels7905: Libra is just lore accurate dude went so crazy he said f u even after death

chancepeterson6346: I have combined both his relics on the bean for passive FP regen

Forever-jg2st: i use it on revenant sometimes...

brreakfastYT: I thought it might be useful on Revenant since she can't regen FP on her own. But it's unusable and just a wasted slot on an already bad character

FullAdDariusBR: I don't think Libra is the best boss, I'd Heolstor or Everdark Sovereign Gladius.

I agree with everything else.

Those relics are trash.

ShatteredSoulINC: I've made an interesting build with this on Revenant, you use both Libra relics at the same time to get the madness meter to build up quicker, then stack your DoN relics with "Increased damage when madness is in vicinity" and use your summons to keep enemies away while triggering it. keep to faith spells or wraith calling bell. It's not great by any means but it can be fun if you're bored

Cheesedragon117: "Madness fully restores

blitzpsycho1560: Libra's relics feel like they're meant for a niche that is filled just as readily by a little prep work or a bit of luck finding weapons with fp regen on hit. I saw One (1) person use it soon after ED Libra came out and none ever since, and to be fair it did come in useful a couple times since we never pathed to a Rise but it felt almost like a detriment a lot of the time with how long it takes to proc and the damage they took from it. It's thematically great, but practically like trying to cut steel with a spoon made out of wet bread

lharsay: I guess you can stack the two Libra relics with two attack up with madness in vicinity ones, I never tried but it might work for a hyper mode build.

rainonmyscug: Honestly itd kinda be usable if it let you do any emote for the build-up, but you have to do one random emote to get it

philosophyofiron9686: I always assumed it was for a daring madness build, where proccing madness on yourself massively increases your attack power at the cost of HP. Madness seals are already one of the most broken things in the game

Brutalyte616: If the FP effect persisted constantly until you topped off, THEN I could see the utility because it means that it would be the perfect spell spam relic; meditate once, never let your FP top off, and you're set. Also great for Ash of War spam, and would probably make Everdark Augur even more of a joke.

Alternatively, it could give you a one-hit bubble shield so you could flex by meditating mid-fight and blocking a huge nuke, but you only get the one hit, and if you sit too long or too frequently to try and abuse the invincibility, you go mad. Alternatively, or perhaps additionally, the shield popping is what gives you the Madness proc, guaranteeing the effect quickly if you time it just right. And if you just sit there until the Madness proc hits, the shield eats the damage for you, so it's incentive to finish the animation.

Alternatively, have it modify the Meditate emote so you levitate off the ground, causing your lower hurtboxes to vanish like you were mid-jump, so you're in a constant jump state and thus can't be hit by attacks with hitboxes that can't hit you during a jumb-dodge. Then you just sit there and aura farm until the Madness kicks in to punish your hubris.

So yeah. Just find a way to make copying Libra cooler and more practical and this is a perfect relic.

disasterleo8883: Executor with seppuku: Fools.

sharp7j: More damage when taking dmg is pretty strong though, especially on raider and guardian. Its 10% more dmg on everything for 30 secs

VittoriaDivina: The Libra relic makes no sense either bc there's actual good madness effects like madness in vicinity and madness res. If the relic had that and maybe idk the gesture builds up explosive physic effect from base game it would slap

emilcolina9930: Actually, it's a good one in very specific circumstances, executor get a 10% boost for getting every status and it can be stack, you can mix this effect with your ult, pretty niche but at least useful
