Matto33gaming: Gods people can’t be happy with any video games ideas these days. This game is basically an experiment that fromsoft developed to see how it would work and I think they did a great job. They used already existing assets for a lot of the stuff but that’s fine because why create the entire thing from scratch just for something you are testing the waters with when you can use already existing stuff to make it a bit easier for yourself.

kicker1015: I think reusing your studio's stuff is great! Majora's Mask is a great game, and it's like 90% reused stuff from Ocarina of time. If it's not broken, don't replace it. The Yakuza series has been reusing essentially the same Kamurocho map for like 6-7 years, and it's still pretty great, because they have just evolved the setting over time.

theknell4418: People forget that one of the greatest games ever made, majora's mask, was a complete " asset flip". they used all the assets from OOT and gave a completely new experience.

siddharthsingh8775: I mean if people are enjoying it then I'm happy for em... But imo its nothing extraordinary or new. It just feels like a game that is taped up in a year or two just for cash grab under the name of Elden Ring.

I would have been much happy if they would have made a second DLC expanding more about the badlands or exploring more about Lands Between in the past.

But again I still have high hopes from them can't let one below average game discredit their previous masterpieces.

Polverrati: I don't care about the assets, but making an online only Elden Ring game with zero single player option is an absolute dealbreaker for me. And the part people are missing, is that the game is going to disappear one day because of this. Servers aren't forever, welcome to the first Fromsoft game that will become unplayable one day.

Daboeydaboy: Every studio reuses assets from their older games. Those assets costed money and hard work to create why would any sensible company waste them? Elden ring alrdy used a lot of old assets in its base game but no one complained. This seems like the devs had a crazy and fun idea and the studio allowed them to play with it.
