Shopping Cartdavegagne2005: Seeing someone trying to fight the tree sentinel at the beginning is always a pleasure :D
Congrats for the video
Goldmember206: I've only got 100 hours in Elden Ring and I'm close to beating it. I've been watching a lot of content creators making videos about it, and it's refreshing to see a new player—but not one who goes in completely blind as most creators do.
I appreciate that you did look up a couple things that didn't break the game or exploit anything, but just helped you understand what you were playing more. This is exactly how I played it. I look forward to watching you play through the whole game.
Cheers.
2Wasted4Souls: Magic Summons? oh boy the Strength sweats aremt gonna like this one. lmao
Jealod24: Right next to the meteorite staff is the rock sling spell. The staff increase gravity spells by 30% and the rock sling spell is within that class, plus it does physical damage. You’re going to,face bosses who have a resistance to magic and that’s when you can keep using the rock sling spell. Also, put the meteorite staff in your left hand and find a good melee weapon that scales with intel for your right hand. The best you can get is also something you can get early on called the moonveil katana in calid… you can also find the clayman’s harpoon deep underground and death’s poker in calid. Having these weapons with an intel of at least 30 makes things easier.
novaris1767: Try putting your staff in your left hand and a melee weapon in your right
gassgames: Extremely hard game you really gotta lock in and pay attention . Dying alot is just part of it
novaris1767: The best and simplest advice any of us can give you can be boiled down to 1 phrase "Get good." And what that means is understand that you are going to die so just pick yourself back up and try again because with each defeat you are learning and getting closer to beating that boss you've been struggling with.
inspectorgadget7488: Don't give up on the game there is SO MUCH you have yet to experience, I was also a noob to the souls genre, and after time and dieing A LOT, there is a beautiful story, and you don't have to fight every enemy on the screen some are ment to be ran past, and the farther you get into the game, you will have great memories of different ways to die and always bet on GRAVITY
mikemurray4788: Damn that was awesome! Jumping over those fire attacks never would have occured to me
Yates5400: My personal favorite game of all time! I played my first character for around 250 hours totally. But after playing through a handful of times, you really do get good at it! Definitely takes practice, but I think souls likes are some of the most fulfilling games to conquer lol
SuraLdin: the first playthrough is always the best, you get to learn how to get around this game you re doing well
HeavyArmsJin: Well played bro! Just 3 simple tips to instantly up your survival and offensive game if you decide to get back into this:
1: You can hold the analog "down" button to instantly switch to your healing flask. Same goes to your spells and other directional buttons they will switch to the first item/spell/equipment you've assigned.
2: Don't forget to assign your quickitems hotbar. Toss your mana flask, summons, horse and any other tools over there.
3. You can charge your spells by holding it.
5FiveUp: More Elden Ring!!
Skirmisherul: If you look under your bars you see a red square with a black arrow down right ? that is because you hugged Fia , she gives you a debuff of max HP until you use her item , the baldachin blessing , use that ( you consume some mana for some poise ) , and then the debuff will be removed , she does this always when she huggs you for her questlines .
Eternal_Companion: I too also started playing recently. Have fun fighting red Wolf
*start vagabond
MCkhemystri: Quick tip. Only have your 3 flasks in the bottom slot. Put torrents ring and other items in your pouch located on the right side of the main menu
Vreewijk77: if i may give some advice, those ruins in Caelid where you found the meteor wand. Theres a basement in those ruins aswell that has a really strong spell called Rock Sling. I highly recommend grabbing that. Also, go explore the southern side of the map more. Theres a huge castle and multiple buildings to the west side of the Weeping peninsula. A couple churches, a tower with a chest at the top, a huge walking building and a merchant that sells cool stuff at a house next to the beach. Also, i recommend collecting talismans as much as possible. You can search up how to get certain talismans that benefit your magic setup. Final thing before i go: At the beginning of the game at the 'stranded graveyard' grace theres a stonesword barrier. I highly recommend completely clearing that dungeon. Theres some usefull stuff in there
See u in the next video :D
WereAlchemist: yo your jumps against the beastman were super clean even though I know you were panicking
jeffers0315: Honestly congrats on beating Margit as a new souls player. That fight is no joke on your first playthrough. Best feeling in the world indeed. Just remember this game is almost entirely about persistence and perseverance. You can beat anything in this game if you try hard enough. Deaths will stop bothering you eventually.
Psycho_Raged: I’m so glad I broke my Call of Duty curse. Now I’ve platinumed Elden Ring, DS1 remastered, and Sekiro. I highly recommend you play Sekiro next.
Soundwave1900: 11:21 Actually you did it right :D At the beginning your damage stat - be it int or strength etc - doesn't really matter, your weapon is only at 0 to maybe 8 and doesn't scale that well with your stats so the damage you get for leveling the damage stat is minuscule. Leveling HP first doubles your room for mistake, leveling mind lets you not run out of mana in a fight which is crucial for a mage.
MrFifaStylez: please play more of this game lol
Jealod24: Don’t use starlight shards… there is a limited supply in the world and they are used as currency later on to buy spirit ashes from preceptor seluvis. As a mage you should consider rearranging your flasks so you always have more mana flasks.
Jealod24: Use your spirit ashes immediately so they can gain aggro.
edge_1002: Good job! That was nice start to Elden Ring! As a fellow maic enjoyer, your meteorite staff will pair nicely with the sorcery Rock Sling. Hope you find it soon as it will help you A LOT in this early game. Goodluck man! Waiting for the next video!
lostcosmonaut6479: Impressive progress throughout the course of this. Well done.
glorytrooper: 19:13 was a perfectly timed dodge roll. I was waiting for those! Dodge roll timing and jump timing is so important in Elden Ring. Even I, a seasoned player with over 200 hours in it, still newbs it up sometimes. I also still panic roll too, so I can't judge there. Love seeing a new player get into it and be willing to look something up. Keep it up!
