Its effect is no Rune loss on death, effective for 3 minutes. So since you won't drop Runes when you die, your Runes that are already on the ground remain there for you to attempt another pick up.

edendman: Sick video! The difference in hype level between you pre-Messmer and pre-Romina is hilarious. Some days you sit down before the Shadow of the Erdtree and you are ready to take it on. Others, you are in the grinder. Regardless, you made it to Enir-Elim, which is the final legacy dungeon of the DLC with the final boss at the end! You missed some truly epic fights that I would love to see you tackle, and I think it'd feel better to do them before Enir-Elim. Feel free to look up their locations, but I'll also put hints to start each one down below if you want to experience that discovery more organically. The fights are Midra, Bayle, Scadutree Avatar, Metyr, and Gaius.

Midra - start at the burning viking boats just after the hippo hedgehog and look for a ladder down.

Bayle - look for the cave of the dragon man south of Castle Ensis.

Scadutree Avatar/Metyr/Gaius - Find a cave in the Moorth Ruins

The entire dlc is chasing after miquella, malanias brother(they were twins weren't they?) as he attempts to force himself to be the new elden lord by ascending to godhood and taking the elden beasts place. In order to due so, miquella is leaving all of his worldly possessions behind. Literally, even his own physical body. And miquellas special power is uhhh mesmerization? Hypnosis? The ability to subtly make ppl do what ya want, its why all the npcs are all over him and whatnot. This is an extremely rough version of said lore and im rusty, but im sure someone can correct me if im mistaken
