Death Lightning, while presenting multiple bolts, only hits once. The other bolts are there for show and to put deathblight clouds on the ground around you. Unlike ADLS, which its multiple times with each bolt.

emzetkin1100: Death lightning is a little bit bad, it just doesn't feel great to use and you can get maybe one bullet on target and it's so telegraphed that any PVP player is gonna either move away from it or knock you out of it.

I only got it because I wanted to have all the Ancient Dragon Cult incants, but beating Fortissax with the L2 on the Death Knight's Long Axe was worth the sheer aura.
