spiraljumper74: I never knew this axe had an extra effect! Does kinda give it a niche, otherwise it’d really just be a very vanilla axe outclassed by most others in its class. It wouldn’t kill Miyazaki to just have like a line at the end of the description that says “added effect: powerful charged heavy attacks” or something. That way we’d know he wasn’t just using evocative writing. As written I always figured it was just basic flavor text describing great axes as a class- on the first great axe you’d likely find.

This was the weapon I completed the entire game with on my first run, because axes are awesome. Was this as and bestial incantations to emulate some sort of viking warrior.

EinTheEin: I didn't know the Greataxe had bonus damage on charged heavy attacks. I know what my next playthrough will be now.

I already love the Alabaster Lord's Greatsword for the stronger charged heavies but it tales so long to get.

Also charged heavy attack builds are just really slept on despite being able to get everything you need for them so early. Really you'd only need the Two-Handed talisman to finish off any heavy attack build.

Nanaya’s Torch easily supersedes this weapon, for a brutish axe could never prove your mettle as a Lord of Frenzied Flame.

kirbyis4ever: Huh. No wonder this thing was DESTROYING the game when I made a pure strength charge attack build. If you throw on barbaric roar and have highland axe in the offhand to boost roars it'll obliterate anything in PVE - looks like the same applies to PVP.
