billymcdougall22: If there is an evergaol near the final circle of day 1 you can open it to spawn the boss then leave, when you come back on day 2 it has half health but will give day 2 rewards
savo6649: Prioritize level above literally everything else and you will win
steveroberts92: "Try and learn 1 ranged and 1 melee character."
Duchess mains "No I don't think I will."
frankiefromky: One of the best tips I don't see anyone online (streaming or info-content) doing is "How to use items when they're on the ground". So, if you don't have room for that exalted flesh (or other item) in your inventory, don't let it be squandered on the ground. Hold Y (or triangle) and press the up arrow, this allows you to use the item that is on the ground without having to pick it up. It's a small hint that won't make a lot of difference, but in some encounters it can be very helpful. I.E. if there's a boiled crab on the ground and you're inventory is full, do this and use it for the buff without having to pick it up. It's better than just leaving it on the ground to be wasted... Hope everyone is having as much fun as I am, Cheers mates! See you in Limveld!
Twist3dBeatz: Having a blast playing with randoms tbh. My only issue im constantly seeing is that yall need to stop going for them field bosses knowing you’re only level 6 and under
TheDiamondSea: "There are a lot of new players making the mistakes we made when we first started playing." My brother in Christ, the game has been out for 4 days.
micahotero6308: If you’re a range user, stock up on warming stones. Basically a whole other heal if you’re able to sit in the same spot.
Eaglesfan220: I made the mistake of prioritizing flasks on day 1 and would get to final boss at level 10-11. Now I just get a flask if church is close and get another one or 2 the next day and now I'm getting to level 13-14 most runs. Made a huge difference not wasting so much time running....
babyyodacamaro: Having the best time of my life as Guardian. Nothing feels better than being able to hold aggro, tank the boss and let the randos pump DMG into the bosses for the time of their life.
shadypielover: Biggest tip is if you do castle and it’s crucible knights, kill every single one in the castle and you’ll be level 15 for sure at the end, if it’s trolls it’s over.
lennyerdody: To summarize:
1. Comp is important, not all range or all melee. Stick together and don’t run off ffs.
2. Play with friends! Use a community code. (Patch for solo play may allow for easier solo play)
3. 14 minutes per day, move quickly like in other timed roguelikes. Use spectral hawks to save time and streamline.
4. Get to level 2 asap, and generally prioritize leveling up (to level 7 or higher on day 1) over anything else. Higher hp and stats overall will win you games. Not fancy weapons.
5. Flasks are good but should not be out of the way, get 1 on day 1 and a second on day 2.
6. Get at least one weapon upgrade during day one, preferably one with the boss weakness.
7. Have some knowledge of what each location holds, great churches have stone sword keys and forts have local clues.
8. If you can, get one smithing stone 2 for the party, don’t waste time in the mines. Ignore ads and delete the boss then leave. If you couldn’t on day 1, np try day 2.
9. Bosses are rewarding, but some field bosses should be fought on day 2. Don’t waste time and leave field bosses if you aren’t ready. Red eyes are bad, run.
10. On day 2, you can clear the center castle, but avoid the bastard jar throwing trolls at the top. Go in the sewer and fight the boss there.
11. Avoid shifting earth on day 1, but on day 2, clear those bosses if your party is ready. Avoid Loretta, black kindred, and other bosses that take too long.
12. Finish day 2 with at least level 10, 9 is meh, 12 is great. Basic chests are not good, don’t go too far out of your way to open them.
SOLO_4_LIFE: I definitely can't wait to see how much the game changes a year from now.
Legacy-of-Diablo: IF you play solo on day 2 after you killing the boss, do not go to the third boss. You can kill things outside and run for awhile don't worry about dying. Just pick up your ruins up and keep killing hit graces as much as you can. You will die a lot, but I went from level 10 to 14, so yeah, every boss is at your mercy.
JamesDGoins: Nothing is "incorrect" games like this and souls games you have to go by trial and error. It's not MEANT to be easy or done on the first go around.
noahfreeman8115: I don't get the hate for this game, I love it
gSLx1: "no the game is not bad - the problem is actually YOU"
teamnhb666: Not sure if it's known but if your ever curious if you have enough runes to level up you'll see a little blue arrow beside your level if you do have enough
XXdeadCthuluXX: Man, I sure was guilty of a few of these offenses… I rushed the Flask EVERY time… awesome info! Thank you, Cas!
basicallydeath3739: I’m not really a “souls-like” enjoyer, I’ve played a few dark souls and a very limited amount of elden ring. But I genuinely enjoy nightreign because I can play it the entire way through with my friends. We aren’t pros by any means of the word, but when we beat a boss together it’s one of the most satisfying feelings I’ve had playing a game
ItsAGorillaBaby: Triple Raider is GOATED
Shadowsforsilence: The game is incredible. I cannot agree with that speed principle more.
Galandwood32: 3 Churches for flask, weakness camps for weapons for 3rd boss, forts/abandoned churches for recluse/rev, and easy upgrades, and then go to inside keep and kill under boss to get an easy talisman upgrade, a quick hit on the mine for a Smith 2, and then field bosses when you have time.
tipolacko: Party composition - we were 3 iron eyes randos and we took out the last boss quiet easily …
1999worldjacob: Heres a tip for everyone. Stop ignoring consumable boxes and drops.
A golden fowl foot can give a HUGE boost to rune acquisition on bosses. Warming stones are free heals, pickled turtle neck makes it so much easier to continue attacking, weapon greases, boiled crab and exalted flesh are also great for boss fights
SmallMountains: Ah yes, a Roguelight where you have to play the game the exact same way every time.
FairTradeGaming: I’ve been playing with the Fextra community, finally beat the first Nightlord last night !
Loving the game so far !
dylanmartindale9151: Another good tip is that the rain closes in quite slowly. If you focus on the bosses it’s easy to clear any churches, ruins, or camps on your way to the circle.
