Shopping Cartstrength-13th: For executor, whatever affinity is applied to his in hand sword should be transferred to the cursed sword when switched and switched back. That way you are not punished for using suncatcher. This will make him feel and play so good.
Coansp: The production quality on this channel has significantly improved, nice.
Also W takes
multifleks: What Revenant really needs, imo, is making her summons scale with her level and depth level in the deep of night, so they can actually put in work besides being just drawing aggro tools. It's far easier to implement than any other suggestions.
Another necessary change would be fixing her claws, so their extra revive damage doesn't apply when used by other characters. The unique moveset is fine as it is, but the fact that other characters can revive twice as fast with her weapon is a glaring example of fromsoft's laziness.
Cayden.1: Another change for Guardian should be to let hid whirlwind deflect all projectiles since its way to inconsistent with which projectile attacks in nighlord fights get deflected or not.
Ds3good: Your Guardian and Revenant buff suggestions are actually peak! Too bad they will never come :(
Aether_Veilborne: A nice feature for Recluse would be able to recycle Magic Cocktails rather than being forced to use them. Either by discarding the Cocktail, or consuming it for more FP regen.
When you're stuck with an Ironeye that's dealing elemental damage, you're basically hosed from making your good combinations. By the time you deal damage of a type you want, the Ironeye will have already shot it 3 times before you can even harvest the desired element.
trust3474: An additional change I would do for guardian would be to have the charged guard counters actually count as a charged attack
Just-Yuri: Upping the production quality, love to see it!
mercurialblonde: Every character should be as broken as Ironeye. That way you can just pick the character you want and each have their own advantages.
Wulphie7278: Partial HP restoration upon post-damage attacks should also apply to the character special and ultimate attacks, when I'm playing Raider with this relic buff I noticed after using a character specific abilities you don't regen HP you just eat the damage.
renaiky2652: When i started the game i fell in love with revenant and played her ever since, it felt pretty hard until i got decent relics and learned the playstyle. after a while i decided to give a try to other characters and was just baffled just how much easier they have it, especially raider and ironeye. i still played afterwards for a while but once i got all achievements i only really played the new everdarks and now i just do deep of night every now and then hoping for a revenant rework. but as time passes i just dont see any sort of attempts from devs on making her better so i kinda lost interested in the game now which is a shame really
mrjukeboxparty4563: Something I’ve noticed more recently with revenant is that I can go full runs without getting a single seal from any drops and all I’m stuck with is what I get from huts or great church’s like I used to consistently get a fire seal from my first drop but then the game had a maintenance and now I just straight up don’t get seals anymore it’s ridiculous like if I’m not getting any seals this character is useless they need to at the very least guarantee a giants flame seal or a gravel stone seal from at least the first drop you get no matter what honestly it should be guaranteed to have a seal on every drop you get day one but I digress I’ve stopped playing the game and I probably won’t play anymore until the dlc drops unless some big patch comes out
loppfolly: Really dig the unobtrusive sidebar info, w editing
The revenant suggestions sound so fun too
kurokaen1234: Another thing I want buffed on revenant, make her summons allow revenant to regain FP by:
- Any active summon can regain 1 FP every 2 seconds
- Any active summon can regain her FP back every successive attack they do (Maybe every 3-5 hits she builds back a small chunk)
- If any summon dies, she regains 5% 25 FP back per KO'd summon
Themootilatr: Look at that editing. That's pretty neat.
X490-e1u: For Revenant, I think it will be a good QoL change if your teammates can also activate her ability whether or not you get the last hit. We get a stack for Marais or Grafted Blade, why not also implement the same mechanic on her ability?
dylanethridge6311: When duchess uses ult, downed allies should also be concealed. Kinda makes no sense to res someone when they're guaranteed to stand up with not only half hp, but also have all the boss aggro.
noirionC: Yooo. Commenting for algo
chase0373: One thing of note is that every nightfarer got a depth relic relating to their character skill, but for some reason revenant got one for her passive ability, that she has zero control over. Honestly, I don’t even run it anymore cause when I do, the benefit is barely noticeable
d3nyd: "Elden Ring Nightreign Has Character Balancing Issues"... proceeds to list the main 4 characters I play regularly. Feels bad man.
glaziumtck8593: I absolutely love the ideas you gave for Guardian. Glad i wasn't the only one thinking that.
I still try to body block enemy attacks every now and then to protect my allies despite it not doing much...
It pisses me off how many enemies push you too far back, or move too far with their attacks, so only the Halberds charged counterattack works as a punish, so you HAVE to use Halberds...
For Guardian i would also like to:
- Buff his "Whirlwind on heavy halberd attacks" relic to apply to all weapons (or just a few more weapon types), not just Halberds. I never take this because that's one precious relic slot that might become instantly useless if a better, non-halberd weapon drops.
- Boost his affinity damage negation with the Wing flap skill as well. There's a relic that boosts everyone's physical damage negation on skill use, so adding affinity negation to it as well would be great. Give him even more support for the team, as well as some very needed help vs elemental stuff.
Also, hah, the idea of basically playing Pokémon with Revenant is funny with what's happening with Nintendo at the moment. ^^
stevestrangelove4970: A way revenant could be buffed without having to code an entire new mechanic would be to give her a chance to boost her summons through talismans traits. Give talismans some traits that could benefit summons like "summons gain 5% hp" OR, just make weapon traits also affect summons, so when you pick a weapon with "defeating enemies restore hp" your summon also benefit from it.
Regarding guardian, they need to also allow him to not use shields. His biggest issue isnt only that his guarding is terrible the more powerful the enemy is, but also that you can only play with shields, minimazing the strategies. Give him a natural stability boost to blocking with any weapon or shield and a stamina recovery when landing counter attacks. Or give him extra stamina recovery while inside his whirlwind.
malachiwatford8729: As a a recluse main the ONLY thing I desire as a upgrade to her character is being allowed to switch our starting armament from a stave to a seal if we want like maybe give us 1 low power incant from all the different affinities like being able to start with catch flame or honed bolt or litany of proper death
emperortime2356: Another minor Guardian change I want is for him to be able to block status IMBUED attacks(bleed, sleep, poison etc.) when on steelguard. Some enemies have status effects like bleed frost imbued in some attacks like Morgott and The black spider guy before Freja spider boss or Caligo. Of course attacks like Caligo Ice storm or Augur huge AOE sleep buildup should still effect Guardian through block.
360° block angle as well like you said. Some attacks can still hit over your head even with the guard angle buff.
I dont like playing depht 5. Inflating damage numbers isnt the right way to balance diffculty. And the stamina damage increase in higher dephts for guarding attacks should be removed entirely.
itsmevan66: Would love to see that suggested Guardian buff come true. Despite the increased block angle they added, needing to do the dash all the time still gets us hit very often. And having to rely on the lock-on to face the right way is a bit of a pain.
Having gone back to playing Monster Hunter Wilds recently, the shield gameplay there is so much better due to 'Focus Mode' letting us choose which way our character faces without locking on. Sth like that would be amazing here but wishing for an entirely new system is probably unrealistic.
ilovecherries101: Funny fact about Raider. His damage and poise damage is modified on great hammers and great axes so they do almost the same damage and poise damage as colossals without the recovery penalty. So his best playstyle (without accounting for relics) is jump attacks with great hammers.
