riffsmasterxw7373: Holy shit! The amount of bots is insane
guerindacio4584: He is john dark soul, hence the darkmoon greatsword.
thebungler8150: I'm more or less positive this guy is meant to be what would have happened if the Nox succeeded in creating the artificial lord they tried to create. Hence the title, and night sorceries being fired from his Moonlight Greatsword variant.
lilmilisgoat_0409: Homie hopped on New Zealand servers to make sure he was the first lol
kim-xo: At least it's not Radahn again.
nightscout9979: >Become a tree

Truly deep dendrology writing.
brendanmuller7301: If you look at the appearance of the giant at the end it looks similar to the lord of night, especially in the head area. Nightrejgn takes places in an alternate timeline after the shattering war ended. But what we see here is the erdtree still up, likely sometime before whoever won, won. Thus i conclude that the ending is showing the nightlord initially waking up
maracktrata4447: The giant is probably a repurposed model for umibozu they were planning, for the water area, in the middle of the island.
domminicksmith6915: What's the lore with the giant at the end saw signs of fingerprints figured he would tear the erd tree down or something
Tk--cp9xw: Tbh my headcanon is the nightlord is our player character from ds2 when u sit on the throne if want even the door is the same one.
twentyfifth_night: The first Giant that went to Drangleic. Dark Souls 2 is really HIM it seems
speedietruck4861: I’m guessing the ending was hinting at either the planned DLC for nightreign or maybe a ER sequel considering they showed the big monster walking away from the original Elden Ring map
costelcosmincazan2321: Missed oportunity from FromSoft to make Rick the final boss.
laizerwoolf: I'm glad that they actually extend the lore, rather than making a non-canon off-shoot game out of the main title.
miguelvizuetecano6449: My take on the ending:
This is a what if scenario where the nox won. We dont know who's this nightlord spouse, but we know it is carian (hence the moonlight greatsword). It cannot be Ranni since Ranni wants to take away the elden ring, not destroy the lands between. The nightfarers are probably selected by the great one (the being from which the great will was born) to retcon the whole world. That's why the game has non canon lore, because we erase ir from history by defeating the nightlord and resetting everything. In the end, we see the tree leaving, not intervining. This event probably leads to the tarnished taking over the title of elden lord (vanilla elden ring). So yeah, the lore of this game doesnt matter because in the end, none of this even happened
KainoaGoldman: Game just came out bro
endveagony: Artorias Gael
Xuepreme69: ALREADY!? BRO SHIRRAKO ALWAYS AT IT!
xxovereyexx5019: Just make elden ring 2 tbh
this coop mode thing should have been on Elden Ring base game since launch
VictorIV0310: For who would lose,
Though full of pain, this intellectual being,
Those thoughts that wander through eternity,
To perish, rather, swallowed up and lost
In the wide womb of uncreated night
BangkuCoret-: Whoa, the sky changes when fighting the nightlord gave me goosebumps
smoothie1572: The boss seems to have what it looks like the Moonlight Greatsword that Ranni gave to the Tarnished. Is the Tarnished the final boss? Does Nightreign happens before or after the main game?
DS-pq9cg: Does nobody else think that this is wrong? The final boss not even 2 days before the game came out?
puppetmaster8819: This is literally The Lord Of Night and Flame. Based on the two recurring weapons found in the DLC and the Base Game, The Sword of Night and Flame, and Rellana's Twin Blades.
kyngofkurses: Can a lore expert please tell me whats going on in the ending??? With the giant guy and everything
