tiersei: Really hope they add the dlc weapon types. Would love to see light greatswords added, especially.
PaintFire_: I've really warmed to it. Wasn't that interested at the start but now I see that it's really fun.
Also: my favourite thing is that it's brought the community together again. Watching you stream with Chase/Lost/Oroboro is really nice :))))
Runawayturist: Given the hype they gave us with Nameless on the trailer...the expectation for this game to basically become a FromSoft's "Greatest hits" boss rush has been a point of contingence amongst the community, they can understand why or why not re-use old bosses, but the amount of love they would get for going the extra mile to adding DS bosses would be so great, they would easily make numbers with it alongside praise and to really test how far have they evolved in terms on design. Imagine instead of Avatar tree spirits we got asylum demons given they are the same boss. Same with omen killers and Capra demons. Getting the Pursuer and MArgit. Getting Ornstein and Smough alongside the Godskins, or maybe Oceiros instead of the Ancient Dragon (god I hate that bastich). I really hope the dlc adds more old bosses on top of a few new and an improvement to the relic system...this game has all the flags to being "a love letter" to the fans.
GrimNought: I like that of all the the soulslike games & devs out there, Fromsoft (the father of souls games) is still the only 1 pushing the souls genre forward!
alexthegroundhog: As much as I would love to see more dark souls stuff. I think sote stuff will be even cooler. I want rellanas swords and great katanas and backhand blades. I want to fight messmer and midra. I feel like we're very likely to see this stuff since it's already in elden ring so it MUST be easier to put in nightreign
elvenking9922: Love it! Can't wait for DLC!
WaylanderLloyd: I've enjoyed it greatly, 6/8 remembrance quests done, a lot of hours sunk solo and with friends. It's been a fresh take on the souls formula.
It definitely needs aggressive and consistent support though, duos, more bosses, new nightfarers, a new map, some weapon/relic changes, sorting Revenants summons to not be useless in boss fights...
I still enjoy it but it's starting to free like a 'fixed formula' of just use these relics, get the correct damage type, go do evergaols and a mine, hit level 12 . It would be nice to have some experimentation with weapon types/builds, especially with Everdarks being added now. Make the main bosses weaker to but not require the damage type to beat (looking at you Darkdrift), and make the damage type a requirement for the Everdark Sovereigns only.
zainabameen6155: The most important part of a game to me, that it's fun, and this game is fun.
zero-sv6bx: If I were to rate the game, honestly speaking, it’s incredibly fun. I’m not a fan of giving numerical scores because they’re imprecise, but it absolutely deserves a 9.5 out of 10—no question. I’ve spent around a hundred hours in the game and didn’t feel a single moment of boredom.
jamesg7456: I really like the game. I wish there were a true randomization with enemies, camps and end of day bosses. I agree I want more dark souls weapons and bosses. And we need a fume knight valstadt duo boss so they can be friends again
_daedricking23_31: Finally, a source I can trust
ordinant2504: The game is a blast with friends honestly. The sovereigns are interesting, but Im really hoping to get completely new bosses rather than empowered current ones. Both would be even cooler.
AlexKing9898: I convinced a friend to play with me with this game came out. She had started ER and DS3 but couldn't really get into them, but with Nightreign she TOOK OFF. She has more hours than me and is going back to play ER now, and no matter what I have this game to thank for introducing her to these games. I love it too, that story is just more important to me lol
duckmandrake6781: Nightreign being class based is what sold it for me. Always wanted classes in the soul series to mean something other than just a stat boost. This along with relics and class specific effects just feels so fun to build and perfect
FKite294: I played it 170h so far.
I actually enjoy this game more than the original Elden Ring. (I know. unpopular opinion)
I still wish those hard mode bosses would include Phase 1 to the fight, so there is always more risk to use a flask.
But ye. more weapons, effects on weapons, more items (stuff I can throw, or in general new small item drops), new stuctures in the world, more bosses and more characters (for each weapon type) would be really cool to see.
I'm glad that I like this experimental game from them. That gives me high hopes for the future. It is not perfect of course but tbh...This is a game where I really enjoy playing with randoms AND have fun with playing with randoms. This combination of...playing with randoms AND having fun is really rare for me.
But I kinda catch myself in playing it less now because I did everything in the game. I killed every boss, I bought everything from the new shop, I bought every skin, I did all remembrances...
I need new goals. That is why I start the game and just do one boss a day now. Only grinding for relics is really demotivating.
I hope the DLC will be a banger
Scaro15: I'd like to see new maps, not just Lyndell. Like have one up in Faram Azula or The Eternal city. Shifting earth is cool, but actually different maps with different boss pools.
stemaster: More ds1-3 bosses and dark souls weapons. But give us more, like unconventional dark souls weapons like the puzzle sword from ds2 or the dragon bone fist. Give us player based invaders that spawn on you and drop invader based random loot or buffs, give us dark souls areas randomized into map. Make the pursuer an invading boss. Gives the ability to unlock more scene slots and give us more class based or build specific scene perks. The game is fantastic, but it can be so much more.
kaitoshirogane5563: The worst part of the game: They haven't released the full soundtrack yet. It's criminal that I can't listen to the Caligo boss track at work
mt2r-music: Before it came out I really disliked the idea of an asset flip, especially after Elden Ring already recycled so much content itself. After learning how much fun and creativity this approach allowed I completely changed my mind to a point where I hope they‘ll always do this. Create a new game => do an asset flip of their latest game for a lower price => explore fun mini game concepts they wouldn’t be able to create otherwise. First i thought this is going to taint the main games in a bad way but they managed to separate them in a nice way because Nightreign doesn’t take itself that seriously. It’s just a fun idea. The execution of the first two days is far from perfect but the concept is there, which is really nice to play.
TheDevourerOfGods: In Elden Ring, most of the PVE I was doing was solely as a furled finger. I really like making builds designed to carry people. But waiting to be summoned took waaay too long. And if the host does something stupid and dies, I get sent home and have to wait again. Now in Nightreign, if my team mates die, I can clutch up and carry even harder.
blueferal8626: Over 200 hours gooning to revenants feet
Havent played the game yet
mauri4184: PSA quit reviving people before the night boss. Let me lose a level, I'll get my flask back and we stand a better chance.
thekeeper1287: For me i HATE enhanced adel. But i love both enhanced fulghor and sentient pest (surprisingly on the sentient pest one since their normal boss is annoying)
thomasswore2327: I’m 45 hours in, and I like it a lot. It’s a very engaging 40-minute loop, and the Nightlords are delightful. The nightfarers allow for expression, which is important to me.
I feel like unless the relics get buffed, or if the added content is substantial, this will be a 400 hour game for me, where the normal Souls titles are 1000 hour games.
Oh also the LOCK ON sucks. I cant switch targets for beans sometimes, and other times it’s just fine.
christophertheofilos: I like that it forces you to use shit that you wouldn't in ER. Giving us the ability to change our starting loadout would be awesome
enderspider5001: A solid 7/10. Awesome fun, somewhat flawed in some areas, could be a lot better in some other areas, but still very fun. With friends its an 8/10
EDIT:
Finished the video, really happy that prod thought it was an 8.5/10!! Honestly thought he was gonna give a 6 lol xD
AricShadowDragon: Yeah I hope they add more stuff to this I can see them doing it and people getting even more into this Anyways keep up the amazing videos Prod
