JAY-yd9ed: Better gameplay is subjective I wouldn't say this game has worst game play than other games the only difference between this game Star Trek online he's one year the only other game that's close to that is elder scrolls and that's from 2014 any other modern game that would be an MMO would have to have come out within the last 3 years and I haven't seen any yet

grim-4552: I love this game (even if City of Heroes / Villains is my home moreso) and I return to it at least once or twice a year for a couple months. I always read the expansion notes when they release and usually hop in when they overhaul something or add new powersets. Gadgets Controller remains my favorite though even if its not a meta pick and I still miss the skill tree progression the powers had.

ZaeArea: Been playing since 2013 on ps3 and since 2017 on xbox. Dcuo might not be the best game but it’s the best of its kind, as a superhero MMORPG, things change this game always has different eras. I remember how drastically different it was before House of legends. Before arts even.

ThatGirlFromAU: I know why I play... the character creation is so much fun, the styling is very versatile, so able to make iconic and unique characters easily.

The movement in DCUO is so smooth, if you play super speed, flight... its so smooth. There is no other game with such smooth flight.

The narratives are very enjoyable (with one exception )

Playing as a superhero that the player can choose and change is also quite unique and really fun.

We can play in groups, solo, open world, load-ins, bounties, build your base, build your armories, mess around with loadouts to find your favourite build... its versitile and can be played differently every day.

You make a really good point too... the community is mostly really lovely and I have so much fun talking and playing with people

Hexx_Iztenze: Tbh DC Universe was never "The game" for me, I would play for a week or two and move on, come back play for a week or two and move on.

Early last year I noticed an X/S version on the Xbox store.

I started playing and somehow it or maybe I was different. I got an electric Speedster to the 200s solo.

I ended up making a fire character as I'd somehow ended up with some fire type items, Auras etc. I met another fire player who took me under his wing. We have become like best friends.

We share our problems, we have a lot of laughs and have a lot of fun.

He is a huge reason I stay.

I have switched my fire to earth, maxed out the fire Aug and am now what I consider a hybrid which I'm finding interesting.

Also... Where else can I be a heroic demon looking ancient being with Earth and Fire powers and run around with a Flying Rhino with Fire abilities and where else can I be friends (combat ally) with John Constantine?

I have also developed a Love for my character. His lore and his personality in my mind.

Do they need to improve things and fix things? Yes, most definitely.

Does the game annoy me at times? Also yes.

However as you said there is nothing else quite like it.

It has become my escape.
