AOSpirits: Honestly I had hope for the game when I returned a couple of months ago, but I've lost that completely.

I've heard so many endgame players talk about how the game used to be more difficult and so many players reminiscing about older raids they struggled on, SM, or when Elite was new. The game is spewing out more and more damage potential for DPS, and the sweats just eat it right up too. I've always said that DC's endgame playerbase doesn't want the game to become more interesting, as long as they see big numbers on the scoreboard then that's it. They forgot all about the complaints they had about the game. Devs aren't dumb either, I mean clearly this method of revenue works. Regardless of the ability to grind the augments, there's a huge playerbase that will insta buy out the augments or anything else that's released just to take that screenshot of the scoreboard.

Honestly running older content with low arts and playing catch up with feats was more fun than spamming MOE every less than 10 minutes. There is just too much DPS. The crazy thing is that now, you don't even need to be GOOD to do good. I've seen so many 120 arts players swipe that card for augments, arts, allies, and boom - they're competing for the 1st place on the scoreboard. Even the casuals are putting out more numbers, that is so insane. But it makes sense, this whole game is just a tank and spank.

Every DPS is going to use Aquatic Arsenal (AA)- why wouldn't they? I would. But that shouldn't have to be the only route to take. There's been such a "One Way to DPS" meta for so long and if you don't follow that meta, you lag so far behind. It's like the devs are giving kids an entire toy store to use all their cool new toys on the boss. There needs to be more ways for completely different DPS builds that are actually viable to be neck and neck with each other. The content itself needs a revamp too. More mechanics, less ad phases in between boss phases. More danger - melee needs to be RISKY. I can melee everything without ANY regard for my own HP. I have a healer and at least 6 razers around me, when am I ever going to go down? Everything is just a straight burn through. Every update that's released that provides a new form of ability is just upsetting at this point. The content is not at a point where you even need all this firepower to beat it. There's quite literally no fun in content, which is exactly why "true endgame" players do nothing but speedruns day in and day out.

I've seen so many comments across multiple videos of people expressing their thoughts on the potential with AA mixed with other powers. That's the same mentality that keeps us here. Why do we need these insane numbers? If I wanted to see big numbers I would much rather go play the lottery, I don't need all this firepower. I feel like I'm running pre level 30 content with a stacked DPS account.
