DCUO No More Stat Clamp Producers Letter July 2026

tripsix263: im waiting for the alt char sidekicks

leatherDarkhorse: The problem now is nth metal cant even keep up with array and art requirement

simmssational: I love how you say "in the world" you be going from a normal deadpan explination voice right into it. I laugh every single time.

InfinityWarlock: Okay this is a nice net positive

snedbag1727: Will we still be able to get the same rewards from unclamped missions though?

CleitonLopesK: Actually, these Ally Missions seem to be a dispatch-style system. Based on what was announced, they will be asynchronous Ally Missions, meaning you send an Ally on a mission and collect the rewards after a certain amount of time. That's the most common meaning of "asynchronous" for this type of game system.

In games with systems like this, the character you send is usually unavailable until the mission is complete. So it's likely we won't be able to use an Ally that's out on a mission until they return. If that's how it works, it will end up being more of a management system than actual gameplay.

Geoforcee100: So too summarise ally feats, alt side kicks ( more powerful your alt more powerful your alt sidekick), no more stat clamp! And a lobo power array augment

JonCoulter-gf9sb: The new augment sounds great. I’m personally waiting for a black Adam augment.

patd2331: No stat clamp W, now just PLEASE fix the bugs. PLEASE!!!!!!! LOL

CanerTasci-c9k: They Should Add a Shazam iconic power, where you transform to Shazam and get Electric powers, that would be cool

TaliaIGhul: Unclamped missons is what I am waiting for. Clamping defeated the purpose of leveling to new gear. Feeling more powerful should be a reward for leveling.

Heartscarrs: This is Huge for dcuo ! I will be making a video on this too for sure tomorrow when I get off work! I love that if you missed things you can come earn it as rewards and the Ally systems, stat clamp and Lobo? This will all bring SO much people back to the game and we have been complaining for months and they have been cooking this entire time?! This is a W

mrxblocks8580: This is all awesome but the game lag since the update a lot people are saying

TheMixTapesCollection: I honestly feel like I'm one of the few people who actually likes the stat clamp.

Without it, every raid, alert, or duo turns into the DCUO Olympics. Someone takes off at Mach 10, skips everything they can, melts the boss in seconds, and calls it "playing."

What's the point? If you're already at endgame, you've completed this content dozens of times. Why rush through it like you're trying to beat a speedrun record?

Not everyone is there for the same reason. Some players are new and want to experience the content. Others are veterans who still need feats, collections, briefings, investigations, or other episode rewards. The game isn't just about you.

I don't mind the stat clamp because, at least, people have to play the content instead of treating every instance like a Black Friday stampede. Sometimes it's okay to slow down and actually enjoy the game.

Another thing:

I think the focus should shift away from constantly adding new allies, pets, and augments, and instead go into expanding each superpower with new abilities. It feels like both heroes and villains are relying more on outside assistance than on their own powers. As a result, each power set is starting to lose its unique identity, and the characters themselves feel less defined by the abilities that originally made them stand out.

Hexx_Iztenze: The direction of augments is getting interesting.

I can see us getting many iconic character based Augs and eventually all the classic powersets along with various Lantern abilities.

It could make our characters very diverse and hopefully lead to more creative builds rather than people following some formula.

We can be even more unique.

Ally feats sounds positive for us and for Daybreak as people may buy more ally items in the marketplace and we get feats and a more varied set of allies as we are being encouraged to build them and experiment.

The old items some people missed being available is also a positive.

The Alt Kicks sounds very interesting. I love having more and themes to my characters so having a sidekick that matches my character and can be part of it's lore for me is really spectacular.

nightviperone: I heard a few mentions of this letter in game earlier, but I didn’t ask any questions. I decided, instead, to wait for the word from our most reliable news source for all things DCUO. Make mine Multiverse!

TheTruth-yi2vv: I hope this new argus event will have supermans iconic curl hairstyle as a reward or purchasable item

williamgreci8219: The changes listed here are definitely interesting, and I could see the "unclamped" private q option helping with certain feats. That said, I don't think the game is at its best possible state just yet. There is room for improvement beyond what is mentioned here. The Nintendo Switch version alone has a number of problems. Multiple open world areas have a problem with lag. The Vladius fight in 31st Century Metropolis frequently KO'ed my hero before the involved characters even finished loading, making it hard to mount any defense. Kaznia often has trouble loading and frequently causes my game to crash when I try to do most things in the area. "Sorrow Summit" solo has a problem where trying to clear it with my "pet build" sorcery hero leads to the game freezing up so thoroughly that I have to exit and close the game before I can try anything else. And even outside of lag and crashes, there is still more that can be improved. The R&D assembly menu is still tedious to sift through for a specific plan. Giving players reason to build allies will only help so much when the items needed can take hundreds of Source Marks to get enough of for even a single upgrade. And the ally upgrade discount weeks only affecting 1 of the 4 resources used only helps so much.

SupergirlJLM: I was hoping for a kryptonian power aug maybe in one of the arcs

itzGummo: All i want is the Rip Hunter style back, I want to be able to recreate my old Fallout Vault Dweller style from back in the day, hopefully they added it in that new event.

Kyuma1097: Lobo heals like crazy this this new augment might be like a battle/tank type of build idk. its likely gonna be broken Hot heals like fire but prb stronger who knows

patluciano1392: I think DCUO has changed a lot because Villains and Heroes were NOT allowed to be in the same alert and raid and it was heroes with heroes and villains with villains so the game has changed

gond9166: Ally feats is NOT a good idea. Because they use Allies as a cash grab and put them behind expensive capsule collections and cash shop purchases. So this means:

Pay to get past ally rewards.

Pay to get ally feats.

Pay to get ally favor.

Pay.

Pay.

miltonsuarez9828: dead game

felorivera1054: Im hyped about everything!

lonewanderer_9312: It will be interesting to see if they live up to all of this, as usual we must be patient wait and see.

THEDARKCLAW: I’m actually shocked how good DCUO is becoming
