Gunther6565: One of the things that annoys the hell out of me is that DCUO has a Community Manager that doesn't do a damn thing, to 'manage the community'.

She Never interacts with the players in the discord other than to post a copied message to 'See the Announcements', or "Post in X location for your issues" She never hops in game to run with people to see how things run. Never just hops into anything to interact with the community.

Doesn't set up any kind of events or projects or contests or anything.

All things that Community managers are suppose to do.

At this point, Gingerbread man from the CL league has been more of a CM than V has.

Metanite: I watched the video as it came on my feed and sadly I have to agree. The current leadership is purely focused on making money. It's not so much the devs that actually work on the game rather their bosses that just want to squeeze everything out. Like what they did with seasonals and taking the vault away because "It didn't fit their standards" (How dare we the players get anything for free). I've had a lot of meaningful conversations with Mepps about the community at the time and I always supported him doing more community streams and interactions for the community to feel seen and he did it, so I give him credit for that. The community deserves better in every aspect. Every little thing that benefited the community and was made so the game will be fun for us was taken so they can make more money out of it. I was such a big fan for the game and it lost me completely. Day by day since the new leadership arrived I saw the game crumble and my feedback did not matter, and at some point I couldn't deliever feedback anymore either. Not from the community or myself. Just bugs. It sucks. Is the game going to shut down now, a year from now? I don't know. I have no way of knowing it. What I do know is what I had to deal with behind the scenes on a personal level. I agreed to be the firewall for the team so I can get the community the information the CM\Staff wouldn't give as test was closed off, I went out of my way to help the new creators when they joined the CL, including getting them footage for those that had no access to test. The brutal removal after asking Voltera to talk and getting complete silence broke me, but now I am free from all of this. Thank you for fighting the good fight. Let's hope for a day when DCUO gets into the right hands and stop having money hungry leadership.

COEFFXIV: I was chasing their content creator program, but recently this game has shown why I took a long break from it. Compared to Final Fantasy XIV, DCUO is not the behemoth it used to be.

Did they improve the game in some aspects? Yes, but seriously? They've milked the community by power-creeping the powers in the game, monetizing events that I seriously disagree with (so if I miss out on powers that are available in the game, you mean to tell me I have ot pay for it? What about just making them available for everyone to get as an option?!)...

DCUO isn't what it used to be anymore. The community is toxic and doesn't even feel like a "community" anymore, and that's a dang shame.
