livingstonem10: I'm starting to think they may have actually stolen the game files as Nexon alleges. They haven't done anything to significantly alter the game from what it was on release (shield bug is STILL a problem), all they have done is tweak numbers and very slowly add new content. They could even be lying about the "inventory guy". They might have never even had one.

The inventory literally hasn’t changed for like 2 years and they make it sound like they have a dedicated inventory person.

Me personally I don’t blame him for leaving because he’s probably been working on all these ideas and not having them ever taken seriously and pushed into the game. Probably felt devalued as fuck gave up hope and left.

Or this inventory guy actually worked on a bunch of different shit with like 5% of it being the inventory. Didn’t have time to actually make anything new and quit for being over worked.

Either way how have we not had a single inventory change for this long lol. They just need a season of not adding ANYTHING new and just reworking existing systems.

Gear, loot horde, money storage, inventory, revive system, market place so we can gut out this damn trade post and just have the market etc. Game needs an overhaul not anymore half assed content or game modes to be removed literally the next wipe

Jamesblod1: im pretty sure the circle never was on steam on release, so saying most ppl wanted it gone is not really true, bc alot of players never played dark and darker outside of steam, so they never had the chance to try it with circle and prob were confused about it bc it was in all the test phases.

Since honestly removing RNG modifiers is the best thing theyve needed to do since the playtests.

AlphaMelGibson: Yeah..its dead to me, Im on Legacy. Which isnt great, but better than putting up with DaD as a solo. I think I´ll go back at least one more time when SDF gives solo players 30%dmg and 10%ms as a last attempt to save his vision, just to play windlass ranger.

All of this signals the death knell for our once beautiful game, but we've only ourselves to blame if we play a game whose lead dev is making for himself, not the playerbase. It's like an abusive relationship at this point if we keep coming back for more.

wiellin270: I’m gonna say it. These were tests that should have happened in the play tests, it’s way too late now to be playing around with this stuff. HOWEVER, let the dude cook. I am interested in what the game will look like when he is done.. I am not a solos player, it’s boring for me, I also don’t think every class needs to be able to be strong in solos. The removal of solos had little effect on me We are actually going back to the root of the game. 1 que, if you join in, you’ll play against x2, or x3, and other solos.

henriquerodrigues7795: I think its funny how theres this feeling from SDF as well as some ppl that defend these changes, that somehow the game being trios only is gonna magically make balancing easy and the game will be perfect, bro this game has never been balanced even in trios and it never will be. Personally i always felt like solos would be fine if they just didnt balance for it, reason being that you have a lot more agency on how to play, avoiding fights as well as running from fights. The one thing im slightly hopeful(which is pointless since ive already quit) is making gear diffing less pronounced, which would also make solos more balanced.

moiseman: It's not that there's only one guy who can do inventory stuff, it's just that one guy was focusing on it. That's common practice for programming, in order to add features and fix bugs you need to be intimate with how it was programmed, you need to keep a map in your mind of how everthing has been made and how every part interact with each others exactly. When one programmer leaves, it always takes time for another to replace him because the new guy has to go over the code and understand evertyhing before adding new stuff ortherwise you just get bugs.

When a new programmer joins a really big project it can take up to 3 weeks before he can even be allowed to interact with existing code.

juden420: The game is just wildly dumb no matter what. Played solo high roller last night as ranger with 330 ms. I literally got rushed and chased down by a cleric with a kiteshield and a mace who somehow also had 330 ms.. k.
