vPzWalkerx: Whats crazy is they forced the game into trio's before even making trios accessible to anyone who doesn't have a full squad. Logically you would add a guild feature or some type of community system that allows the community to mingle and play together making trios more accessible but instead were left with "fill squad" which no one advocating for trios ever uses because its suicide.

LordKuam: To play devil's advocate, I would imagine what IM is trying to do is
1. Consolidate queues to balance around a single mode
2. Remove mods to balance classes/skills around this single mode
Once they have this balance, then they will slowly add back in modes/affixes to see how the balance changes. Not saying it's the right call, but I'm theorizing this may be their motivation.

Every time someone talks about balancing, there is always the argument: "It's balanced for trios get over it." Now everyone is surprised when they want to cut out everything that is not trios?

I'm also saying that the only good reason to get rid of random modifiers is if there is already too much rng and/or if they have a skill tree system that adds replay ability in another format

Armelier: men i have been playing server test and it feel sooo balanced soo good it feels fresh men without random att is way better now ofcrouse it need better fix stats but now you cant stacks max dex max will max agi max str in one whole set and becoming a monster now with fixed stats you can only max 1 and then other 2 just boost a little, meaning you have to choose what stat you want more than other rather having them all it feels way better men

Personally I’m disappointed with the removal of solos and duos, if it were up to me I’d say to leave goblin caves as a solos map, like it was when the game first went to a paid model.
I agree with you that loot in the current test server configuration is pretty boring, although I do think moving away from random modifiers is a good thing for the game - it makes things way too complex and expensive for new players and even experienced players to build good kits for pvp. What I’d like to see is an overall gear buff without random modifiers, to make a purple kit with only base stats feel like you’re in BiS. The gap between blue/ purple (and so on) needs to be bigger to justify this change. Currently the balance of the game (or lacktherof) has random modifiers in mind - if they want to see ~base stats only~ work, they need to adjust the values such that you actually get significantly higher performance from blue to purple, and not one or two stat points.
I think that approach would make gear satisfying to obtain while also helping solve the gear gap that SDF is so pressed about.
jk5385: I hate to say this, but they never should have added solo only to the game in the first place. Hot take i know. Im sure this comment section is not the place to voice this sentiment and I'm about to be bashed and downvoted, but adding separate team-size queues was a mistake. NOTE: this isn't to say that solo players don't have a right to be upset, THEY DO, its just the unfortunate reality of joining an early access game where the design can change to whims of its lead dev.
