Shopping CartLord_Framebreak: The Scholar seems to be inspired by the alchemists of old. Searching for the fountain of youth and philosophers stone. Also his bagcraft ability hints at that.
doompriest: the scholar: uses a cane sword because all albinaurics have leg issues
also the scholar, when it's time to run away from rain: IM FAST AS FCK BOIII
eclips_total2215: There was a text that sayed "on the source of all life theres blood", in the history of life the rite of birth has been the most sacred of all with many religions depicting it has the moment a Soul is given form, perhaps now with birth their blood may become true.
nickmurray2390: Interestingly I think the Cleansing Tear is referencing putrescence, the invasive contaminants, and maybe explains why it looks the way it does.
Vamp_SV: Great video! given what we know about the Scholar, do you think Rennala and her lineage are of albinauric origin?
Also.. some loose threads that could possibly tie into this.. Sir Gideon and his “cane”, appearance under his helm, obsession with information (analyzing things), obsession with the Albinaurics, scepter of the all knowing looks similar to the pillars of creation, the pillars of creation look similar to prototaxites (prototaxites absorb nutrients from decaying organic matter) and the pillars in every night lord’s arena that look very similar to prototaxites. Make of this what you will. Sorry for the lazy paragraph.
Happy hunting.
Edit: I think the Astels are similar beings to Heolstor, the Dreglord, and the Albinaurics, only difference being that they are the result of entire collapsed and or failed universes. They slowly wane over time, losing spirit energy (residual and primordial life) each time their abilities are casted, becoming the withered astels (similar to how the Albinaurics lose their ability to walk)
void.sawyer: "a subtle smile..."
That smile. That gd smile.
rachnussouldrinkerlibraria5640: Personally I think the scholar is a hybrid. His form is very divergent to normal albinaurics even of the first generation.
christianlaw1992: So is the cleansing tear celestial dew? It’s called a night tear in the base game.
HealthyMaxwellRoth: Also he bleeds white blood when hit in in combat. Nice attention to detail
generallyinfamous7156: Love the way you explained scholar's lore! If you have time, could you possibly cover undertaker's lore in the future? Everyone just refuses to explain her lore
Martin-lm8xp: I don't think that he is a gen1 of albinauric. Nothing states that. Meanwhile it's mentioned that he has returned to the land of his ancestors. I assume that some albinaurics left the Lands Between, settled somewhere else and created new gens of their ppl. Scholar would belong to that new generation.
TwoTooTo2: My albinauric goat
TheDoomsdayzoner: He is an albinauric?! No wonder his face reminded me of Pidia.....
dominicansolx: Maybe the cleansing is made of Albanurics.
That would explain the despair.
OUGIover: God I love Mimics
moonfruit369: This entire story reads as a Yakub parallel, but focused on the albinoid homunculus, instead of the villain of the fable.
GoldenInquisitor1337: Amazing!!!!!
xanderroberson2029: What leads you to believe that he is part of the first generation? I haven’t heard anything about the first generation slowly, losing their ability to walk overtime, but rather that they just didn’t have the ability to do so. I assumed he was a much later generation. I was choosing to believe that he is on the search for a way to allow his kind to breed much like a mirror to latenna in the base game of Elden Ring
