Reacting to MORE Elden Ring Boss Music! Margit, Morgott, Mohg

Pyleee25: Finally! Mohg is one of my favorite soulsborne-OSTs ever! Glad you reacted, been waiting for this!

HansLeithäuser: Margitt's and Morgott's OST's are quite similar because they are the same character but in different guises.

Morgott is secretly ruling Leyndell and shows himself only under the guise of Margitt, because he's despised due to his "Omen Curse".

The solo instruments are "hidden" referring to Morgott's hidden rule of Leyndell.

Mohg is Morgott's brother and instead of rejecting his omen blood like Morgott, he embraces it and the power that comes with it.

emperorpalpatine4953: "Omen illusion" really lets you appreciate the string work for Mogh ost.

Eligius0: TRES!... DUO!... UNUS.... NIHIL! NIHIL! NIHIIIIIIIILLL!

LordessApekatt: Mohg's theme is one of the few tracks in elden I absoutely love and definitely my favourite from the base game!

Nihilix89: Ah Mohg, what a legendary theme. I consider his theme one of the best. I can't wait for Rykard and Midra!

LearnTrainPlay: "Welcome to the birthplace of our dynasty!" Love mough's music.

DrClef_1: Base Elden Ring isn't really famous for many good osts, Mogh's is definitely up there though. They upped their game in DLC tho

steezy2182: i absolutely adore Margits theme, even more than the theme he gets when he reveals himself as Morgott, the main melody is just so beautiful and the setting along with it

it’s just incredibly iconic

marioburgos712: Right there with you on preferring Mohg's theme and its more melodic approach! It does have a choirless version called Omen Illusion, in which you may listen to the harpsichord deep in the mix a bit better than here. I also can't understand how little they implemented the koto (I think that was the instrument) in the OST, given how beautifully in compliments phase transitions like Mohg's.

I look forward to some of the remaining tracks, especially Godskin Apostles and Messmer, the Impaler >:)

Maurice_Of_Wisdom: "The thrones........ Stained by my curse..... Such shame i cannot bear

Thy part in this shall not be forgiven"

jellotrooper: i would love to see more of the dlc boss themes!!! I would heavily reccomend Rellana the Twin Moon Knight, Midra Lord of Frenzy Flame, and ESPECIALLY The Promised Consort

Tim_593: It makes a lot of sense for Moghs Theme to be more Royal than the one for Morgott. All of Morgotts actions in the game are to preserve the sanctity of Leyndell in the Name of the Golden Order, despite him technically being King. Mogh is basically the Captain of an Order of outlaw assassins, but he plays himself up to be much more and is a lot less mellow of a character.

TheLauron: Elden ring has some story-based fights that are often rehashed throughout the story. Margit into Morgott is one such fight and the alteration to the music score portray the evolution of the fight and character to some aspect.

Likewise, Mohg has an alternate boss fight with an Illusion of his, the track is his phase 1 but lacks the chorus (called 'Omen Illusion'). Finally we have Godfrey which we first also fight as an Apparition and the track playing for that fight (Lord's Apparition) is a holier, more choral version of his (Godfrey, first Elden lord) phase 1 track.

There are other bosses and encounters that carry leitmotifs, which in its own right is a cool way to portray how heavily some characters carry the lore.

gimligloinson972: I recommend watching the Margit and Morgott boss fights, he probably has the most dialogue out of any boss in the series and it plays a big part in the enjoyment of the boss fights.

piggnut18: I love Mohg's phase 1 theme so much. Its just so evil and menacing and....calm.

I think most people will agree that Mohg's theme is definitely up there when it comes to the best OSTs.

Rev.Serenity: morgott is definitely my favorite ost in elden ring's base game, followed by mohg, lanessax, godfrey, and then maybe godrick.

whatever the composer was trying to land with morgott's theme, he definitely succeded with me lol

Iiiiii258: We kidnapping Miquella with this one

AR-bj5et: Margit and Morgott are the same person as the other comments would tell you. Margit is the first proper skill check of the game, functioning as a kind of right of passage to really get into the story very early on while Morgott is fighting him much later at a very pivotal point where you actually have the skills and power to influence the story.

I love the tone shifts between the two tracks because both of them seem to imply fear, but Margit's theme feels like your fear of him as this near-insurmountable wall beating you down till you give up forever, while Morgott now feels like he's the one afraid of you now that you're actually strong enough to oppose the order he wants to protect and that no matter what the outcome of the fight is things can never really be the same again. It's a nice contrast. I just wish they weren't such repetitive pieces... lol

More quick lore, Mohg is Morgott's twin brother and there's a big contrast between how they view their omen blood etc, etc. His theme is a big fan favourite in the franchise.

dumbsterdives: definitely in agreement that theres latin lyrics in mohg's theme. it isnt as common as it was in bloodborne's vocal themes but like right after where you put up that caption in the video they very clearly say "termina" with proper latin pronunciation

HK_BLAU: found your channel today, i like your vibe :)

shoi miyazawa is indeed an incredible composer. iirc he used to be a sound designer before starting composing for fromsoft and in many of his tracks you can hear the creativity/open-mindedness that comes from that background

mohammadalhusaini810: HIGHLY recommend

Midra lord of frenzied flame

Messmer the impaler

Godskin Apostle

And all the remaining nightreign tracks especially heolstor

Dias_12: The relation between Morgott and Mohg, is that they’re brothers, sons of Marika who got banished to the sewers because of the Omen aspects

minecraftender8105: Aside from a select amount of tracks a good chunk of base Elden Ring ost is very atmospheric quite similar to the closest i can think of is Armored Core 6 in terms of Soundtrack that are more recent (Aside from Nightreign). Which I can see it them trying to branch out a bit which I don't mind it and some are my favorites. But in the DLC, stuff really kicks off and it is glorious which you got a taste of some tracks already :3

Can't wait to see what you cover next Tera!

Soulute367: Mohg is one ov Elden Rings best. Morgott not so much. Btw they are twins
